Constance Markievicz was an Irish revolutionary, suffragist and politician. She was one of the first women elected to the British House of Commons and the first woman to be appointed to the Irish government. In 1926, she helped establish the political party Fianna Fáil, which is now the largest party in the Irish parliament.
