Constantine II was the eldest son of Emperor Constantine I the Great and Fausta. He was born in 317 AD and was named after his father. Constantine II was a capable and intelligent ruler, but he was also arrogant and ambitious. He was eventually assassinated by his younger brother Constans II in 340 AD.
