Constantin Manciu was a Romanian peasant killed in 1927 by Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, a leader of the far-right Romanian Legion of the Archangel Michael. Codreanu was subsequently arrested and imprisoned, but the murder brought him to the attention of the Romanian public and helped him to establish the Legion as a political force.
