From 1977 to 1981, Dan Quayle served in the United States House of Representatives as the representative for Indiana's second congressional district. He was a member of the Republican Party. During his time in office, he served on the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Government Operations. He also served as chairman of the Select Committee on Children, Youth and Families.
