Daniel Libeskind is a Polish-American architect who is best known for his design of the Jewish Museum Berlin. He was born in Łódź, Poland, in 1946, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1957. He studied architecture at the Cooper Union School of Architecture in New York City, and later worked for a number of architectural firms before establishing his own practice in 1980.
