Arrigo Sacchi, the former Italian football manager, was responsible for bringing Massaro to AC Milan. Sacchi was the manager of AC Milan from 1987 to 1991, and during that time he led the club to two Serie A titles, one European Cup, and two UEFA Super Cups. Massaro joined AC Milan in 1988, and he went on to score 102 goals in 244 appearances for the club.
