Peter Green formed Fleetwood Mac in 1967 with Jeremy Spencer, Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. In 1968, Green invited Danny Kirwan to join the band, which had a blues-rock sound at the time. Kirwan brought a more melodic and acoustic sound to the band, and he helped to write some of their most popular songs, including "Albatross" and "Oh Well".
