In 1992, Daron Acemoglu received his doctorate in economics from the London School of Economics. His dissertation, titled "Economic Theories of Social Conflict," focused on the relationship between class conflict and economic growth. After completing his PhD, Acemoglu went on to teach at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he currently holds the position of Professor of Economics.
