Dave Shade was born in 1902. He was an American baseball player who played as a pitcher in the Negro leagues from 1925 to 1933. Shade was known for his fastball and his ability to strike out batters. He played for several teams during his career, including the Indianapolis ABCs, the Chicago American Giants, and the Kansas City Monarchs. Shade was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
