Where was David II crowned?

  • Scone

  • Edinburgh

  • Stirling

  • Glasgow

Answer

Scone was the traditional coronation site for Scottish kings, dating back to the Middle Ages. It was here that David II, the son of Robert the Bruce, was crowned King of Scotland in 1331. The ceremony took place at Scone Abbey, which was later destroyed by fire in the 16th century. Today, the ruins of the abbey can still be seen near the town of Perth.
