Deng Deng was born in South Sudan. He is a South Sudanese professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the University of Connecticut Huskies. He was selected by the Utah Jazz with the 47th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. He has also played for the Indiana Pacers and the Washington Wizards.
