Dickey Betts was a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band, an American Southern rock band formed in 1969. Betts was a guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter who played a significant role in shaping the band's signature sound. He co-wrote some of their most famous songs, including "Ramblin' Man" and "Jessica." Betts left the band in 1977 but returned in 1989 and remained a member until his retirement in 2014.
