Dimitrie Cantemir's son, Antioch, was an ambassador in Great Britain and France. He was appointed as ambassador by his father in 1713, and served in this position until his death in 1723. During his time as ambassador, Antioch worked to improve relations between the Ottoman Empire and the European powers.
