Wyatt Earp was Doc Holliday's close associate in the West. Holliday was a gambler and gunfighter, while Earp was a lawman. They met in Dodge City, Kansas, in the late 1870s and became friends. They both participated in the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone, Arizona, in 1881. Holliday died of tuberculosis in 1887, and Earp died in 1929.
