Donald Hugh Henley is the full name of Don Henley, the drummer and co-lead vocalist of the Eagles. Henley was born in Gilmer, Texas, in 1947. He began his musical career in the 1960s, playing in various bands before joining the Eagles in 1971. Henley co-wrote and sang many of the Eagles' most popular songs, including "Hotel California", "Life in the Fast Lane", and "The Long Run".
