Don Revie's first team as a player was Leicester City, who he joined as a schoolboy in 1937. He made his senior debut in 1946 and went on to play for the club for nine seasons, scoring 49 goals in 274 appearances. During his time at Leicester, Revie helped the team win the Football League First Division title in 1954-55 and the FA Cup in 1956-57.
