In 1928, Scottish sportsman Douglas Jardine made his Test match debut. Although mainly remembered for captaining the infamous'Bodyline' series, his abilities saw him become the youngest cricketer to score 1,000 Test runs. An exceptional athlete, he also excelled at rugby and represented Scotland at both amateur and international levels.
