Douglas Osheroff is an American physicist and Nobel laureate in physics, who shared the 1996 Nobel Prize in Physics with David Lee and Robert Richardson for their discovery of superfluidity in helium-3. He is the Gordon and Betty Moore Professor of Natural Sciences at Stanford University, and is also the founder and director of the Stanford Institute for Materials and Energy Sciences.
