Before moving to Paris, Henry Miller worked as a radio news reporter in New York City. He was born in Brooklyn in 1891 and moved to the city in 1917. He worked as a reporter for the Brooklyn Eagle and the New York Sun, and he also wrote for a variety of other publications. In 1923, he moved to Paris, where he lived for the rest of his life.
