Temple of the Dog was a tribute to Andrew Wood, the late lead singer of the Seattle grunge band Mother Love Bone. After Wood's death in 1990, members of Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and other Seattle musicians came together to form Temple of the Dog and record an album in his memory.
