Edgar Adrian was a British physiologist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with Charles Scott Sherrington in 1932. Adrian's primary study was neurons, which he investigated using electrophysiological techniques. He discovered the all-or-none principle of nerve conduction, which states that a nerve impulse is either completely transmitted or not at all. He also showed that neurons communicate with each other by means of electrical impulses.
