Édgar Rentería was born in Cartagena, Colombia on February 11, 1971. He is a former Major League Baseball (MLB) shortstop and third baseman who played for the Florida Marlins, St. Louis Cardinals, Boston Red Sox, Oakland Athletics, Milwaukee Brewers, and Los Angeles Dodgers. He was a six-time All-Star and won the World Series twice with the Marlins in 1997 and 2003.
