Edmund Kemper, also known as the Co-ed Butcher, was an American serial killer who murdered ten people in the Santa Cruz area of California in the 1970s. Kemper's victims were primarily young women, and he often engaged in necrophilia and cannibalism after killing them. He was eventually apprehended in 1973 and sentenced to life in prison, where he remains to this day.
