Yes, Edward Carson attempted to intercede for Oscar Wilde after his case. He wrote to the judge of Wilde's case, Sir John Mathew Williams, to ask him to be lenient. He also met with the Home Secretary, Sir William Harcourt, to ask him to pardon Wilde. However, Carson's efforts were unsuccessful and Wilde was sentenced to two years' hard labour.
