Edward Lear published twelve musical settings of Tennyson's poetry. Lear was a British artist, illustrator, writer, and composer. He is best known for his limericks and nonsense poems, but he also produced a number of other works, including musical settings of Tennyson's poetry. Lear's musical settings were published in two volumes, "Songs from Tennyson" (1859) and "More Songs from Tennyson" (1861).
