The Doves Type, a notable private press, unfortunately met its end in the River Thames. Following a tragic incident in 1908, the press and all of its equipment, along with a sizable portion of its inventory, were sorrowfully discarded into the river, effectively bringing an end to the Doves Press's distinguished legacy.
