In addition to being a lexicographer, Eliezer Ben-Yehuda also worked as a journalist. He founded the Hebrew newspaper Ha-Zvi in 1884 and edited it until his death in 1922. He also wrote articles for other Hebrew newspapers and magazines. Ben-Yehuda's work as a journalist helped to spread the use of Hebrew and to promote the Zionist cause.
