When could all women over 21 years of age vote?

  • After 2 July 1928

  • 15 September 1950

  • 10 May 1890

  • 25 December 1914

Answer

After the First World War, there was a movement to give women the right to vote in Britain. The Representation of the People Act 1918 gave the vote to women over the age of 30 who met certain property qualifications. This was extended to all women over the age of 21 in the Representation of the People (Equal Franchise) Act 1928.
