Emperor Huizong was the eighth emperor of the Song dynasty of China. His father was Emperor Shenzong, who reigned from 1067 to 1085. Huizong was a talented artist and calligrapher, but he was also a weak and indecisive ruler. He was eventually deposed by his brother, Emperor Qinzong, in 1126.
