Emppu Vuorinen was born on 24 June 1978 in Kitee, Finland. He is a Finnish guitarist and songwriter, best known as the lead guitarist of the Finnish power metal band Nightwish. Vuorinen has also played with the bands Sinergy, Raskasta Joulua and Northern Kings.
