Sir Leonard Wooley further excavated Enheduanna's findings. In the 1920s, Wooley was the director of the excavations at Ur, in Iraq. There, he found a number of tablets inscribed with Enheduanna's poetry, as well as a number of other artefacts. Wooley's excavations helped to shed light on Enheduanna's life and work, and they also helped to make her known to a wider audience.
