Enrico Letta entered politics in 1998, when he became a member of the Italian Chamber of Deputies for the Democratic Party. He was re-elected in 2001, 2006, 2008, and 2013. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2006 to 2008, and as Prime Minister of Italy from 2013 to 2014.
