ER was a television drama series created by Michael Crichton and Steven Spielberg. It premiered on NBC on September 19, 1994, and ran for fifteen seasons until April 2, 2009. The series was set in the emergency department of a Chicago hospital and followed the professional and personal lives of the doctors and nurses who worked there. Anthony Edwards played Dr. Mark Greene, the chief of emergency medicine.
