Austrian. Ernst Happel was an Austrian football player and manager. He played for Rapid Wien and the Austrian national team, and managed clubs in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium. He won the European Cup with Feyenoord in 1970 and the Bundesliga with Hamburger SV in 1982. He also managed the Austrian national team to the semi-finals of the 1978 FIFA World Cup.
