Ewa Kopacz, a Polish politician and the 11th Prime Minister of Poland, was a pediatrician. After graduating from medical school, Kopacz completed her residency in pediatrics at the University of Warsaw Medical School. She worked as a pediatrician for several years before entering politics. In 2007, she was elected to the Sejm, the lower house of the Polish parliament.
