Ezra Nawi was an Israeli anti-Zionist peace activist who had no military background. He was born in Jerusalem in 1933 and studied law at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He was a member of the Israeli Communist Party and became a prominent voice in the Israeli peace movement. In 1978, he was expelled from the Communist Party for his opposition to the Camp David Accords.
