Answer
Faisal I attended the Paris Peace Conference in 1919. He was one of the main Arab leaders at the conference, and he argued for an independent Arab state in the Middle East. However, the conference ultimately decided to divide the Middle East into several mandates under European control. Faisal was disappointed with the outcome of the conference, but he continued to work for Arab independence.
