The Russo-Persian Wars were a series of conflicts between the Russian Empire and Qajar Iran in the early 19th century. The first war, from 1804 to 1813, resulted in Russian annexation of Dagestan, Georgia, and parts of Azerbaijan. The second war, from 1826 to 1828, resulted in Russian annexation of the rest of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
