Answer
The Samoa Court of Appeal ruled that Mataʻafa had been the rightful Prime Minister of Samoa since 24 May 2021. This decision overturned a previous ruling by the Supreme Court, which had declared that Tuilaʻepa Saʻilele Malielegaoi was the legitimate Prime Minister. The Court of Appeal found that the Head of State had acted unconstitutionally in dismissing Mataʻafa and appointing Malielegaoi.
