Francis II was the son of Leopold II. Francis II succeeded Leopold II as the Holy Roman Emperor in 1792, ruling until 1806 when he dissolved the Holy Roman Empire. Francis II also became the Emperor of Austria in 1792, a position he held until his death in 1835.
