Answer
The Mutiny on the Bounty was an 1789 mutiny against Royal Navy Lieutenant William Bligh on board the British Royal Navy vessel HMS Bounty, which had been sent on a mission to Tahiti in order to gather breadfruit trees and take them to the West Indies. The mutineers, led by Fletcher Christian, set Bligh and 18 loyal sailors adrift in a longboat.
