A rugby league field is rectangular in shape. It is typically between 100 and 120 metres long and between 55 and 68 metres wide. The field is divided into two halves by a halfway line, and each half is further divided into three sections by two quarter lines. The try lines are located at each end of the field, and the goal posts are located behind each try line.
