The Dictator is a 2012 American political satire film directed by Larry Charles, written by Sacha Baron Cohen and Alec Berg, and starring Cohen as Admiral General Aladeen, the dictator of the fictional North African country of Wadiya. The film is Cohen's third starring role, following Borat (2006) and Brüno (2009). Fred Armisen plays the role of Nadal, the personal assistant to Aladeen.
