Fred Trump was an American. He was born in New York City in 1905 to German immigrants. He grew up in Queens and attended Fordham University. After graduating, he worked in his father's real estate business. In 1927, he started his own company, Fred C. Trump Organization, which became one of the largest real estate developers in New York City.
