Irène Joliot-Curie was the wife of Frédéric Joliot-Curie. They were both scientists and Nobel Prize winners. Irène was the daughter of Marie and Pierre Curie, and she and Frédéric were both awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935 for their work on artificial radioactivity.
