Frederick II was the Holy Roman Emperor and King of Jerusalem from 1225 to 1250. He was a member of the Hohenstaufen dynasty and the son of Emperor Henry VI and Constance of Sicily. Frederick II was crowned King of Jerusalem in 1229, after leading the Sixth Crusade to the Holy Land. He was also the first Western ruler to be crowned King of Jerusalem by a Muslim ruler.
