Fritz Kreisler was born on February 2, 1875, in Vienna, Austria. He was a child prodigy and began playing the violin at the age of three. He studied with some of the greatest violinists of the time, including Joseph Joachim and Leopold Auer. Kreisler made his professional debut at the age of twelve and quickly became one of the most famous violinists in the world.
