Besides acting, Genevieve Nnaji has undertaken the roles of directing and producing in the film industry. She has directed a number of short films and documentaries, including the 2011 short film "Ije", which she also wrote. In 2015, she produced her first feature film, "Lionheart", which was the first Nigerian film to be submitted for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film.
