Bishop George Berkeley was an Irish philosopher who made significant contributions to the fields of metaphysics and epistemology. As a Church of Ireland clergyman, he held the title of Bishop of Cloyne from 1734 until his death in 1753. Before his title of Bishop, Berkeley served as Dean of Derry from 1724 to 1734.
