George Gervin was born in 1952. He is an American former professional basketball player who played shooting guard for the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, and Cleveland Cavaliers in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Nicknamed "The Iceman" for his cool demeanor on the court, Gervin was a four-time NBA scoring champion and a nine-time NBA All-Star. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1996.
